A writer for BuzzFeed, Patrice holds a B.A. in English and Black Studies from Amherst College and an M.A. in Journalism from New York University. Earlier in her career, she was a reporter at BET, reporting on national and global news and writing for the company's women's website, B* Real. While pursuing her master's degree from NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, she was in its Studio 20 program, which focuses on innovation in journalism.
A West, Patrice is the sister of Krysten Peck '11. She is a volunteer mentor for Westover's Invest in Girls program, which helps students gain the skills needed in the world of finance. While at Westover, Patrice was a member of the Dance Ensemble and Glee Club, participated in the drama program, and was a volunteer for the Dialtones, students who helped with fundraising for the Alumnae Development Office.
Patrice resides in Brooklyn, New York. She enjoys dance.
