MORE

Mary is currently working as a Support Engineer at HashiCorp, a DevOps startup based in San Francisco, Ca. At HashiCorp she helps a growing list of Fortune 100 customers find solutions for moving their enterprise software to a multi-cloud environment. Before this new role, She was a software engineer working in Ruby on Rails, Go, and JavaScript. Her last product engineering role was at HashiCorp on the Terraform Enterprise team where she helped integrate a variety of version control services that allowed customers to provision infrastructure as code. Prior to her roles at HashiCorp, Mary worked on email tooling and payment processing at LivingSocial and Paperless Post.

In addition to work as an engineer, Mary ran the mentorship program for the Turing School of Software and Design from 2015-2017. There, she helped women and adult career changers find mentors who would assist them in their journey to become software engineers. Though she left her official engagement with Turing in early 2017, she continues to mentor women and underrepresented folks in tech.

Mary is also an occasional conference speaker and you may see her pop up from time to time speaking about mentorship, diversity and inclusion, or DevOps or possibly an intersection of all three.

Mary enjoys multi-faceted interests outside of engineering. She is a tattooed metal aficionado and part-time art historian. She majored in Marketing with a minor in Art History (with a focus on feminist art) at American University in 2010. Ask her about the time she interned for a neon glass artist in Washington, DC!
