I have been a Circulation Assistant at the Amesbury Public Library since 2000 where I work at the main desk as well as lead the adult evening book discussion group.

I have a BA degree in Developmental Psychology. I became interested in working in a library after being an active library user and the President of the Newbury Library Friends group. By working in a smaller library, I am able to get to know our patrons by name. I enjoy helping patrons locate books and other materials.
Besides working full time at the library, I am on the Board of Governors of Westover School where I serve as the secretary and co-chair of the Networking Committee. I enjoy being able to give back to a school that has given me so much. I am also on the board of directors for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Northeast Essex Affiliate where I serve as secretary. I am also part of the planning committee for our local Relay For Life event in Amesbury, MA. My past volunteer activities include 15 years as a Girl Scout leader and 10 years as a Sunday school teacher. I feel it is important to be able to give to the community by volunteering time.
My other interests include reading, yoga, walking, cooking and Red Sox baseball.
