Interior Design is not my first career, but it is an art that I have loved since childhood. Growing up, I was the girl who re-arranged her room every week!

After my husbands and I were transferred overseas, I began to study Interior Design in Singapore and completed my degree in 2002 at The Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, Australia.

Living and studying overseas gave me a real appreciation for the “global style.” I believe that a home should reflect the people who live there, not just the latest trends.

Since moving back to Connecticut, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with my clients to create real homes … homes where families are raised, friends visit and people feel most like themselves.

This magic happens when there is a true collaboration between designer and client. Through listening to my clients, respecting their budget and offering fresh ideas, I have established a thriving business built through customer referrals.

MORE

After graduating from Westover in 1982, I attended Lake Forest College and graduated with a B.A. in English and Business. I worked in Financial Services Marketing at American Express and Citibank during the 80's and early 90's. When I was 35 I return to school to pursue a degree in Interior Design. Although I loved the "corporate world," design is my real passion.

Recently I was a privilege to redesign and update Westover iconic “Red Hall.” Built in 1907 by Theodate Pope Riddle, one of America’s first woman architects, Red Hall is the heart of our school. The challenge of the project was to preserve the traditional, Colonial Revival style of the room while creating a fresh environment for today’s students.
