I recently graduated the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Sciences, majoring in Comparative Religion. Currently, I work in the Admission Office of Mercersburg Academy. From the help of connections and with strong determination, I graduated college with a job and I would love to help any fellow Westover students learn the ropes of admissions or life in general!

Even though I am new to my career in Admissions, I have a long history with boarding schools and higher education. I grew up on the campus of The Hill School, then I attended Westover School for four years. Currently, I call both Middlebury College and The Hotchkiss School my homes, as my parents work at both places. Having grown up in the world of education, I value the community, support, and nurturing that independent schools offer.
I also value hard work, as I have worked hard to get to the first step in my career. I began learning how to be in the work force when I was fourteen years old and worked at PJ's Family Restaurant in Wellfleet, MA. I continued my job at PJ's for five summers until I started working as a waitress in Two Brothers Tavern in Middlebury, Vermont. Working in the restaurant business taught me many valuable lessons about about people skills, time management, and effective work habits.
I also acquired some excellent career-related skills during my senior year at the University of Vermont, when I held both an internship in UVM's Continuing Education Department and also a position as a Director of Senior Events for UVM's Student Alumni Association. With all of my responsibilities, I learned how to be a leader, work in a team, and be a part of an office.
Having a diverse background of work experience and a depth of knowledge about boarding school, I was fully prepared for my position in the Admission Office at Mercersburg Academy. Still, I’m learning something new every day.
