I have been a flight attendant with American Airlines for almost 16 years.
This job has given me opportunities to travel all over the world. I have a great deal of flexibility in my schedule that traditional jobs do not offer. There are trade offs with this but overall I am well pleased with my ultimate choice of career. Many young women consider flying for a few years right out of school and I would be happy to talk with anyone about the realities of the job. (I might add that if you have aspirations to become a commercial pilot, I would heartily encourage that route as you would have many of the same perks with much greater financial reward!)
