I graduated from Furman University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After 6 months of volunteer work with AmeriCorps NCCC, I began the 3.5 year Master of Architecture program at Georgia Tech, which I completed in 2004. I worked in a small architecture firm for several years and after moving to Northern Virginia, joined STUDIO39 Landscape Architecture. Architecture and landscape design combine my passions for art, science and the environment. I am a licensed Architect in Virginia and Maryland and am currently pursuing my Landscape Architecture license as well.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, dancing, ceramics, baking and laughing. I have a five year old son with complete congenital heart block so I am also active with the American Heart Association.
